As a founder or business owner, you wear a lot of hats. The lines between work and life blur, and the goals that once mattered can quietly slip to the bottom of the list.
Do you feel like you are constantly lacking in time or balance – you have so much on your radar, juggling so many important things, and sometimes don’t feel like you have any time to breath?
Do you have a goal (or maybe more than one) that feels important to you but you haven’t moved forward with it?
Deb will talk to us about why we don’t always identify the goals that really matter most and why we don’t always follow through on the ones we do choose.
Join Business Whangaparaoa on Wednesday 25 June from 5.30 pm for an evening of good food, great company and of course and engaging and informative speaker!
As a bonus for all attendees Debbie is very generously offering 1 hour coaching for all attendees so remember to book and see you there!
About Deb: Deb Bailey is a leadership coach, facilitator and speaker who’s all about helping business owners cut through the noise and focus on what really matters. Her work is grounded in insight, measurement and intuition - because real impact starts on the inside. She’s also the author of two books: Inside Out: Why Leadership Starts With You (2021), and Navigate Your Impact: How to Achieve Goals That Really Matter (2025).

Calling all family owned business owners!
Let’s connect over coffee! Coffee Connect is where connections are formed, conversations flow, and new possibilities emerge. It's a time when family business owners like yourself can come together and share experiences, knowledge, and insights. It's an opportunity to reconnect with like-minded family businesses and escape from the daily routine. Picture the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and enjoy sharing stories with fellow family business owners.
Organised by Family Business Association, and in collaboration with Business Whangaparaoa, we invite owners of family owned businesses to join us to find out about tools and support available from the Family Business Network and to relax, connect and support one another within our local community.

An invite to local business owners and our community.
Join Business Whangaparaoa, Hibiscus Coast Zero Waste and a group of Coastie business owners for the Green Scheme Showcase and Awards.
Enjoy an evening of networking, celebration, good food and drinks!
Through the Green Scheme, and supported by funding from Auckland Council Climate Grant, we will be celebrating some of our small Coastie businesses who are already taking some actions in their bid to help with climate change issues along with presentations about information and business solutions we have found along the way. We will be awarding Green Scheme Certificates to local businesses taking climate action, showcasing their work and providing information about how you and your business can get involved as well as providing information for our general community and households to be doing their thing too.
Work over the past 10 months will culminate in a panel of these business owners being available for an informal chat about what they are doing and how you can start taking some action in your business too. Climate action doesn't have to mean big changes or expensive changes, every small action counts. So come along, enjoy great networking, and pick up some tips and ideas on how you can do your bit to help our planet in 2024.
If you already take climate action, come along and tell us, so we can celebrate and you too can be eligible to be part of the Green Scheme! If you want to start taking action but need some guidance and support, then this is the place to be.
Particular focus at this event are businesses in the construction, retail, health and beauty, office and hospitality industries but all businesses and community members are welcome as there are many very generic actions you can all take!
If you would like to join us and celebrate these businesses, find out more, let us know what you already do and find out how to do more please register below and we look forward to seeing you there!
