The purposes of the Association are to strengthen the Whangaparāoa
Peninsula business community by supporting local growth, collaboration, and
advocacy by:
- Uniting and representing local businesses across the Whangaparāoa
Peninsula, creating a connected and supportive business community.
- Encouraging and promoting economic development, business vitality,
and community wellbeing in ways that benefit local businesses and the wider
Peninsula.
- Providing opportunities for members to network, share knowledge,
collaborate, educate and promote a collaborative learning environment and
leverage local expertise to support sustainable business growth.
- Supporting initiatives that enhance community and social outcomes,
including building stronger links between local businesses, schools,
community groups, and service providers.
- Advocating to central and local government on matters affecting the
Whangaparāoa Peninsula, including the improvement of infrastructure,
transport, coastal protection, amenities, and other services essential for the
growth and wellbeing of the community.
- Undertaking any activities necessary or helpful to advance these
purposes while ensuring the Association operates as a not-for-profit
organisation for the benefit of the community.
