Swapping clothes is a great way to reduce our environmental impact. The production of textiles accounts for 10% of global emissions and requires a lot of water and energy. Untreated water makes it's way into our oceans along with microplastics and pesticides used in cotton production. Join us to swap clothes you no longer wear.
Litter in the ocean often starts on the roads, reserves and parks. This Pick Up Litter Day will encourage schools, families and individuals to choose a street or area to pick up litter from. It'll be bought into the Whangaparaoa Community Recycling Centre to be weighed and audited.
