Eligibility & Age Limit: This competition is open to children aged 12 years and under.
Parent/Guardian Permission: Because this is a children's competition, all entries must be submitted by (or with the explicit consent of) a parent or legal guardian over the age of 18.
How to Enter:
The Task: Children must colour in the designated illustration on the official printed Whangaparāoa Treasure Hunt map.
Details Needed: Please ensure the child’s first name and age are written clearly on the entry, along with a parent or guardian’s contact phone number and/or email address.
Submission: Entries can be submitted by taking a clear digital photo or scan of the finished artwork and uploading it via our online form or emailing it to support@businesswhangaparaoa.co.nz.
Entry Limits: Only one entry per child is permitted per bi-annual draw. (Families with multiple children may submit one entry per child).
Competition Dates & The Draw: We run two draws a year to give everyone a chance to win!
Intake 1 (Spring/Summer): For entries received between 1 September and 28 February. The winner will be drawn on 5 March.
Intake 2 (Autumn/Winter): For entries received between 1 March and 31 August. The winner will be drawn on 3 September.
Winners are chosen by random draw from all valid entries. The draw will be conducted by a representative of Business Whangaparāoa.
Winner Notification & Prizes:
Winners will be contacted via the parent/guardian’s provided phone number or email address within 5 business days of the draw.
If a winner cannot be contacted or does not claim their prize within 14 days, a redraw will take place.
Prizes are non-transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash, and Business Whangaparāoa reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if necessary.
Privacy & Media Usage: By submitting an entry on behalf of a child, the parent/guardian grants Business Whangaparāoa permission to display the winning artwork, along with the child's first name and age only, on our official website, social media channels, and community newsletters. Personal contact details (phone numbers/emails) will remain strictly confidential and will only be used to contact the winners.
